Mad Yella return to 2020 with their 4th brilliant release ’Blue’.
A track that was inspired by the
band’s drummer Sam Moore with the rest of the lads doing what they always do, working
together on every aspect of the song.
“Blue” is a beautiful minimalistic but vibey and
slick neo soul groove. Based on just 2 chords
sustained on the Fender Rhodes, creating a
sweet fusion of vintage and present-day sounds
over a hip-hop inspired drum groove; dressed with
a sweet guitar solo & heartfelt lyrics delivered by
lead vox Kojo.
Releasing on May 29th with SO-UK Music,
distributing through AWAL across all the
reputable digital stores and streamers, Blue is the
first of several releases coming in 2020 following
Mad Yella’s initial performing year in 2019.
In these strange but necessary times Mad Yella
are in their respective ‘man caves’ creating slick
home-grown grooves to delight their ever-growing
fan base through 2020.
And yes, an album is coming; but in true Mad
Yella style it will be a little different from the norm!
