#rip Street Dance Pioneer – Shabba-Doo

There are no words. Only feelings and memories of an amazing talent that influenced me and countless others to DANCE! Soul Train, Breakin & Enterin’ on VHS, Breakin and Breakin 2 motion pictures were definitely huge influences on my life. I am so grateful to have been introduced to Street Dance and Hip-Hop from pioneers like Shabba-Doo because they were about lifting others. Their influences and art showed me that Hip-Hop, Dancing, Deejaying and more could be used for good. Oh how we need more people like Shabba-Doo now that we live in a word where Hip-Hop has been tainted and distorted. I know we will see you dance again my brother and friend! Thank you!! – Shawn Phillips
